Fernie 3-Week Instructor Course Diary

This week has been NONSTOP by name and NONSTOP by nature! NONSTOP food, NONSTOP nightlife, not to mention NONSTOP on the hill!!

Lessons have come to an end this week and everybody has improved so much – confidence is at an all time high and everyone is ready, if a little nervous, for the exams to begin!

The NONSTOPpers have become one big happy family, aside from some friendly skier/snowboarder rivalry, and we marked the end of lessons with a huge crazy night out at Brickhouse where our musical talents revealed themselves (well some of us anyway…)!!

The first Cat Skiing trip went out on Friday – it was unreal!! It’s such an adventure, the snow is unlike anything you’ll ever see…shoulder deep powder, fresh tracks and friends getting stuck in trees (you’ll understand when you get there!!) The improvements made in lessons really showed up on the Cat Skiing trip and everyone performed fantastically.

Here’s to another week of NONSTOP action….!

His mum (Kat) called up. Was a jockey (22year old) wants a career path change - looking to become an instructor. 2 weeks experience snowboarding (6 weeks on skis) - 5 week instructor best option for him. Maybe talking about doing the level 2 exam after the 5 week one finishes (RT's suggestion)
