Travis Rice's Red Bull Supernatural competition continues to wow!

Following on from Max's blog about Red Bull and Travis Rice's Supernatural competition last week, another new bit of footage has been released.

With every new release, this ground breaking backcountry freestyle competition just looks better and better. To have such an amazing list of competitors on a perfect purpose built course has pushed the boundaries of snowboarding yet again.

A few years ago there was a lot of chat about whether snowboarding could be pushed any further. There seemed a limit to the number of rotations that you could do on a board and a backlash started against the "spin to win" mentality. The progression in the sport has been astronomical since then. The complexity of trickery all around the mountain, from pipe to backcountry, has hit new levels. Pros are perfecting rotations on more than one axis and are looking more and more stylised.

Travis Rice, of course, has been at the forefront of all-mountain progression in recent years. His two major DVD releases in associational with Red Bull, "That's It That's All" and "The Art of Flight", have pushed him into the public eye and made the general public realise that snowboarding isn't just about Shaun White's competition circuit.

Not content with pushing the boundaries of snowboard movies, Travis, in association with Red Bull, have rocked the competitive snowboard scene by building a dream purpose-built backcountry snowboard course, AKA "Scary Cherry". The invited riders for the "Supernatural" event, is a who's who of snowboarding hard hitters: Travis Rice, Gig Ruff, John Jackson, Nicolas Müller, Terje Håkonsen, Scotty Lago and Devun Walsh, to name but a few.

Anyway, check out the latest edit of the event itself below. We're very much look forward to the final edit!
