Age range on Nonstop's 6 week "MTM" off piste ski/snowboard camp

Our 6 week “MTM” Off Piste Camp is one of our favourite courses, with the focus set entirely on all-mountain progression. Unlike the other longer courses, there is no instructor training involved. It’s all about hunting down powder every day without wasting any time on the bunny hills!

So what kind of person does this course attract? First of all, the majority of people coming on this course are individual travellers, along with a few couples. That means that people are often concerned with how they will get on socially with the group.

Those worries are perfectly natural and are always alleviated within a couple hours of meeting the rest of the group. Everyone is in the same boat so, without fail, strong bonds and camaraderie are formed between a whole mix of ages, nationalities and backgrounds.

This course has one of the largest breadth of ages. With significant chunks of skiers and snowboarders in their 20s and 30s, as well as a gap year travellers. There is also always a good portion of people over the age of 40. This mix creates a really great social atmosphere.

Training groups on the mountain are formed entirely on confidence and ability, so that you ski or ride with others who are a similar standard to yourself.

The only time that age comes into play is with rooming. Our most popular accommodation option is twin rooms, and we make sure that everyone is paired with a well suited roommate. We make those decisions based on sex, age, tidiness, sociability, etc. You can be confident that you’ll be sharing with somebody who is going to be of the same mindset and a similar age. Of course, single rooms are available if you would prefer your own space.
