Two Weeks of POW in Revelstoke
I picked up the Revelstoke 2 Week Improvement Camp group on a beautiful Saturday afternoon in Calgary and set off on the five hour drive to Revelstoke...
The crew was composed of 6 guys in their mid-40s out to rip it up. We had Robin, Alun, Mark, and Giovanni, who had all been on various courses with Nonstop in the past. The two Johns completed a great group who were all there to check out some new terrain and develop their skills all around the mountain. This was the perfect trip for them all.

The first day on snow was the first day for some the guys at Revelstoke, so we got on a mountain tour with Luke who told us which spots we definitely needed to hit while we were there for two weeks. And then it started snowing.

Giovanni, Mark, John and Clarence - Just lovin' it!
And it snowed for two weeks. The 1.5m of new snow allowed us to enjoy all that Revelstoke has to offer – chutes, trees, bowls, cliffs – literally everything. And we did. Here are a few pics to show it all off...
Robin showing the group how to dig a tunnel to China with John closely taking notes...
Giovanni praising Ullr for providing
The whole crew at the bottom of Greely Bowl. Big Grins for Big Pow!

We hiked up here...
And dropped in over there...
We rode that...
And this is where we ended up. Wicked day!
A picture says 1,000 words. After showing you these pictures I don’t think I have any words left to describe just how awesome this mountain is!
On top of a great mountain, the town had lots to offer. There are plenty of restaurants and we sampled quite a few. The Taco Club was great with delicious Mexican specialties and Begbie’s on tap. Very quickly, the local brew Begbie’s was the drink of choice for the course. It was the usual Nonstop two week improvement schedule - evening socials included bowling, a trip to the Aquatics Centre, Grizzlie’s Hockey, and a pub named the Village Idiot for Thursty Thursday. Revelstoke is full of great people, and lots of helpful gear shops.
It was a great couple of weeks and I was sad to see it end, hopefully all you guys sign to join us next year and I’ll see you all there!
