Join our Rockies Improver Camp for a week-long ride through four of the best resorts in the Rocky Mountains — Sunshine Village, Lake Louise, Mount Norquay and, if you’ve got the legs, Kicking Horse. Guided by expert local coaches, you’ll ski more vertical, more terrain, and more powder, progressing your skills as we hunt down the best conditions. Stay in the iconic town of Banff, your central hub where culture and adventure collide. After unforgettable days on the mountain, dive into the après scene, catch a local hockey game, or relax in the famous hot springs.
Our base for this camp is the iconic mountain town of Banff, nestled in the heart of the Rocky Mountains. From here, we’ll explore three of the region’s top resorts — Sunshine Village, Lake Louise, and Mount Norquay — collectively known as the Big 3. Between each, there’s powder, steeps, trees and glades, with spectacular views everywhere you turn. The aim is to ski all three resorts, but we’ll stay flexible, letting conditions and group appetite guide us. If we catch wind of better snow or weather elsewhere, we’ll chase it.
Sunshine Village
The highest of Banff’s resorts, Sunshine Village offers sprawling terrain and is renowned for its deep snow, averaging 30 feet each winter. It’s home to legendary tree-skiing, playful zones, and off-piste face Delirium Dive.
Lake Louise
As the largest of the Banff trio, Lake Louise boasts 4,200 acres of terrain spread across four faces. Expect a blend of long, top-to-bottom runs, wide open bowls, and mellow glades.
Mount Norquay
The closest resort to Banff, Mount Norquay is a local gem with a variety of terrain from groomers and tree-lined trails to steeps and bumps. On a powder day, without the crowds, Norquay is unbeatable.
This Rockies Improver Camp is an action-packed week of all-mountain coaching and guiding, designed to help you unlock your potential on the slopes. Skiing with expert local coaches and a small group of riders, you'll tackle a variety of terrain across up to four of the best resorts in the Rockies — Sunshine Village, Lake Louise, Norquay, and Kicking Horse (optional).
Sessions
Each day is a full day of skiing, with a focus on progressing your skills through different terrains – think trees, powder, chutes and steeps. We’ll be led by the conditions of the day, aiming to ride as much vertical as possible.
Goals
The goal is to guide you through the best of the Rockies, while enhancing your all-mountain capabilities. Whether its navigating deep powder or tackling more technical terrain, you’ll make noticeable improvements and gain the skills to ski confidently in all conditions.
Groups
This camp is tailored to intermediate through expert skiers. Groups are formed based on ability and outlook, ensuring you’re skiing with others at a similar level. With a maximum of 7 riders per coach, you'll receive personalised feedback, while also enjoying the camaraderie and social energy of a small group.
Coaches
Your Nonstop coach is a local expert, with extensive knowledge of each resort. They’ll help you navigate the mountain, offering tips, tactics, and insights to enhance your skiing, as well as sharing the ‘locals only’ spots.
This camp is about more than just coaching — it's about immersing yourself in the Rockies. We’ve built in a free day so you can choose your adventure: ride Kicking Horse with its steep terrain and epic powder, recharge in Banff, or hit one of the local hills. If you’re up for it, the day trip to Kicking Horse will test your skills in some of Canada’s best in-bounds terrain. As the week unfolds, we’ll also bring the group together for evening socials. This could be unwinding in the Banff hot springs or cheering on a local hockey team, depending on the local calendar. It’s all about the balance — shredding epic terrain by day and soaking in the culture and camaraderie by night.
Ideally located in the heart of Banff, you’ll stay in the Mount Royal Hotel. Just steps from the town’s best shops, restaurants, and après-ski spots, it’s the ideal base for this camp. Relax in spacious rooms with stunning mountain views and enjoy amenities like a rooftop hot tub. You have a choice of private or twin-share rooms, depending on budget and preference.
Daily breakfasts are served at the hotel to kickstart your day. We also host Welcome and Farewell Dinners at handpicked local spots — perfect social occasions to bookend the camp with delicious food and good company. Your other evenings are left free for you to explore Banff’s varied culinary scene. Your host can provide restaurant recommendations and make group bookings for those wanting to dine together. It’s the perfect time to unwind, share stories, and bond with your crew after action-packed days on the slopes.
