8 reasons for post-stay

Spring skiing and retro days. Stay around for an extra week on our instructor courses in Canada. (3 min read)

We’re all for maxing out the season. And on our 11 week ski and snowboard instructor courses in Canada, you’ve got the option of tagging on an extra week at the end of the course to soak up all those spring vibes. We never want to leave the snow, and you probably won’t either.

Here are a few reasons to hang around.

Spring shred

End of season, spring conditions. This is all about the good life, milder temperatures and spring snow. Cut back on layers, shred the slush, lap the park, work on your goggle tan, and soak up après. Sounds good to us. You might even score a spring pow day, not unknown in Canada.

CELEBRATE

All going to plan, you’ll have just passed your CSIA/CASI Level 2 the week prior with a heap of your coursemates. Extend the celebrations and ride the high. Revel in your achievements, ski with your pals and party until the end.

TAKE YOUR LEVEL 2 LATER

If you feel you’d benefit from more training and preparation, we give you the option of taking your Level 2 in the post-stay week. This gives you some extra time with our coaches to hone your technique and teaching skills, putting you in the driving seat to smash the assessment.

MORE SKIING

The thing about skiing, is that you can never get enough. Come spring, you’ll know the mountain like the back of your hand and your technique will be firing thanks to a season of coaching. We’d bet you won’t be ready to call it. Max out your slope time, clock up more vertical and stay an extra week.

HANG WITH YOUR FRIENDS

Strong friendships are formed over the course of a season with Nonstop. Living together, riding together, parting together and sharing highs and lows. You won’t be ready to part ways with your crew, so stay on to keep the good times rolling, before you head off on new adventures.

SLOPE-SIDE EVENTS

Spring time means a heap of slope-side events and recipe for good times. When April hits, expect retro days, boardercross comps, pond skims and live music. If you’re in Fernie with us, Hot Dog Day and its retro vibes will be up there with the best days of the season.

SEE THE MOUNTAINS IN A NEW WAY

The onset of spring provides a fresh opportunity to explore the mountains. Days get longer, colours change, and wildlife emerges. BBQ until sunset, hike up mountain trails and bike along the river. Your eyes will be opened, and you’ll want to stay for summer.

COST EFFECTIVE

It’s a no-brainer to stay an extra week from a cost perspective. You’ll be in resort and have your season pass, so the only costs you’ll need to cover are food and accommodation. Basically it’s a cheap week of skiing. And if you book at the right time, we may throw in the post-stay week as a booking bonus.
