Upgrade your qualification and continue your development with our CASI Level 2 snowboard instructor course. By converting your Level 1 to Level 2, you'll be far more employable in snow schools around the world. Fernie is the ideal location to ramp up your qualifications, with five massive bowls varied terrain, amazing tree runs, and gullies, drops and banks galore.
Fernie Alpine Resort has so much going for it; there really isn't a better place to train for your CASI Level 2. It combines five bowls each with a massive amount of ungroomed "steep and deep" terrain, making this a great place to train and will lead to a super steep progression curve.
Average snowfall is unbelievable and makes it Canada's "home of legendary powder"! The fun doesn't stop off the mountain. This traditional Canadian town has a welcoming and friendly vibe, while the bustling bars and restaurants of downtown Fernie are always great for a night out.
Nonstop is renowned worldwide for producing excellent Level 2 CASI instructors. Our instructor trainers have achieved this by passing on their riding skills, drills, teaching techniques, and above all their passion for instructing.
Over six weeks, you will experience focussed training and direction from some of the most respected snowboard instructors in the business. Your all-mountain riding will develop significantly as you spend each day exploring the awesome terrain of Fernie Alpine Resort.
To achieve CASI Level 2 you will need to demonstrate a high level of skill while riding a range of terrain and conditions. You'll also need to teach and demonstrate to intermediate snowboarders; so you'll have a good technical understanding of snowboarding and be able to plan and deliver lessons.
Fear not - our instructors will spend the six weeks of your course working with you on your technique, while you have a blast riding the best terrain in Fernie. They will also teach you how to pass on these newly acquired skills.
Plenty of your time will be spent in Fernie's amazing terrain, but we will also help you to cram in so much more into your six weeks. We arrange technical sessions and social events in the evenings, including trips to the curling rink or local ice hockey matches. You can also join an avalanche safety course as well as cat boarding, laying fresh tracks in the Fernie backcountry, and much more.
