A four-week long adventure developed for every dedicated skier or snowboarder out there. Here we present a six-part series chronicling the journey on our MASTER THE MOUNTAIN Camp.

Trailer

Far away from the everyday hustle and bustle of the outside world, our MASTER THE MOUNTAIN Camp combines all our favourite elements of skiing and snowboarding, crafted for the adventurous. Bringing together a group of passionate riders with our all-mountain coaches and backcountry experts, you’ll push your powder performance and conquer Canadian steep and deep. Based out of freeride-mecca Fernie, the finale of this adventure is four days off the grid on a touring voyage to the Boulder Hut, a backcountry cabin steeped in history and only accessible by heli. If you’re not sure what to expect, buckle up and watch the trailer.

Episode 01 – Four Weeks in British Columbia

An adventure peppered with everything from epic backcountry descents, to in-bounds powder shreds, and ultimate good times with friends. This is four weeks in British Columbia with powder coaching, backcountry training and a line-up of high-octane adventures. Your backyard: pow-dreamland Fernie. Head out every day to clock up vertical miles and boost your snow skills as you prepare for a magical touring trip. When the time arrives, journey into the wilderness of British Colombia to find an endless backcountry zone filled with soft snow, for four-days of turn-earning. In this first instalment of our 6-part MASTER THE MOUNTAIN series, get the rundown with our crew.

Episode 02 – Fernie

Steep lines, bottomless pow, collective spirit and a funky feel-good town. This is Fernie, British Columbia. A legendary mountain along the Powder Highway, Fernie is off the beaten track and serves up some of Canada’s most supernatural skiing. Five huge alpine bowls to explore, filled with powdery chutes, remote ridges and perfectly-spaced trees to dance between. Located in the southeast corner of British Columbia, this is the ultimate playground to master the mountain – and the kind of place you won’t want to leave.

Episode 03 – Pushing Limits

Powder coaching. Avalanche training. Backcountry touring. This course is designed to push your limits with one goal in mind: to prepare you to rip backcountry lines. From deep storm days to beautiful backcountry laps, explore diverse expressions of skiing and snowboarding and boost your mountain know-how. All this lays the foundations for the ultimate touring trip to the remote and idyllic Boulder Hut.

Episode 04 – Beg Your Boss

If you don’t ask, you don’t get. Meet some of the people who took a leap to follow an obsession, chase snow and live out their mountain dream. Our MASTER THE MOUNTAIN Camp brings together a close-knit group of like-minded skiers and snowboarders from around the world, all with different backstories and routes to Canada. The common thread: a shared mindset and passion for snow. Over powder-filled days, backcountry adventures and ice-cold après beers, close bonds develop and great friendships are forged.

Episode 05 – Cat Skiing

A gateway to the backcountry, cat skiing in British Columbia is the holy grail for any powder-hound. Your instructions: charge as hard as you can - and watch out for tree wells. Far away from the bounds of a resort, load into the back of a snowcat, hold on as you wind up the mountain, and float back down through virgin backcountry snow - then do it all again, and again, and again. This is a day cat skiing on our MASTER THE MOUNTAIN Camp. High-fives guaranteed.

Episode 06 – Boulder Hut

With no markings, no pistes and no one else but you and your all-time crew of friends, the Boulder Hut embodies a unique freedom rarely found in ski areas, let alone in life. A cabin nestled deep in the wilderness of British Columbia’s Purcell Mountains, giving access to a wild backcountry zone. This is the climax: four days, in freeride paradise, earning your turns. And there’s only one way in: a 20-minute heli ride. Each day you’ll tour to different areas of the hut’s endlessly rolling backyard, filled with pillow-soft snow, steep couloirs and mega times. In this final instalment of our MASTER THE MOUNTAIN series, our crew head for the backcountry fields that engulf the Boulder Hut – and enjoy plenty of laughs along the way.
