Set in the Southern Alps, this month-long camp is your gateway for levelling up your freeride and backcountry game — wrapped in French charm, world-class terrain, and immersive mountain experiences.

Staying in the picturesque village of Villeneuve, you’ll be just steps from the slopes of Serre Chevalier — a hidden gem with big-mountain energy, renowned for its open bowls, larch forests, and uncrowded powder stashes. Across four weeks, you’ll sharpen your all-mountain technique with pro coaching, build backcountry confidence through avalanche safety and touring clinics, and learn to move with purpose through wild terrain.

Each week builds towards new goals, with weekly adventures to off-the-radar ski zones like Cesana in the Italian Alps, Queyras, and legendary La Grave — where steep faces deliver the goods. Your final chapter: a three-day touring adventure to Refuge du Chardonnet — an off-grid alpine refuge where you’ll earn your turns, chase fresh descents, and embrace the quiet magic of the backcountry.

With a small, close-knit cohort, this is a social and supportive camp built for solo travellers, couples, and small crews alike. Whether you’re chasing powder, progression, or the kind of friendships forged in the skintrack — this is the experience that ties it all together.

Welcome to Serre Chevalier — your alpine basecamp for the next month. Settle into your new home, meet the crew, and get your gear dialled. We’ll ease you into the terrain with guided laps across Serre Che’s varied zones, notching up vertical and tuning into the mountain rhythm. Coaching kicks off with a deep dive into your technique and fundamentals, setting the stage for what’s to come. We wrap the week with a day trip over the border to Cesana, Italy — and celebrate the start of something special with your first crew après.

With a solid week under your belt, it’s time to raise the bar. We’ll launch into avalanche training and a peer rescue to build your backcountry skills. On snow, the terrain gets steeper and the focus sharper, with coaches helping you push limits and sharpen your all-mountain skills. Midweek, we head out for a full-day mission to Montgenèvre and Clavière in the Via Lattea — skiing cross-border laps, chasing fresh turns, and soaking in the Italo-French vibes.

This week is where it clicks. You’ll dive into ski touring — learning gear, movement, and uphill techniques — before stepping into the wild with a powder mission to the legendary freeride mecca of La Grave. With no ropes, no pistes, and only one lift, this is the real deal: open bowls, couloirs, and glaciated faces that demand focus. Expect tired legs, wide grins, and post-ride beers that hit different.

Now it’s time to put it all together. The final week brings a three-day, two-night ski-touring expedition deep into the backcountry. We’ll head to the Refuge du Chardonnet, skinning through high-alpine terrain and laying fresh tracks in untouched snow. Expect silence, scale, and soul-stirring descents. This is the kind of adventure that bonds people for life. We return to Serre for a well-earned final send-off — where the legs are tired, but the stories and friendships are just getting started.

A hidden gem kept secret from the rest of the Alps, Serre Chevalier is one of the largest resorts in Europe. Famed for its uncrowded slopes, tree-lined trails and wild off-piste zones, the resort spans three valleys in the Ecrins Massif.

Serre Chevalier receives an average of 6 metres of snowfall each season. Due in large part to its north-facing slopes, high-altitude bowls and tree coverage, Serre Chevalier enjoys exceptionally good snow conditions across the resort. Deeper zones can often be found in the top powder bowls, plus lower down through the larch forests.

Serre Chevalier has a rich ski heritage, comprising four main villages in the Guisane Valley: Briançon, Chantemerle, Villeneuve and Le Monêtier. Each unique, but traditionally French and historic, all enjoy a laid-back vibe. Linked via a free ski bus, you can move easily between them.

Nightlife in Serre Chevalier is generally quite low-key but can pick up on the weekends. Après ski is laid-back and friendly, with a handful of cosy bars located around the base-areas and lift terminals. In the evenings, you can usually find some live music in one of the bars dotted along the valley, stocked with regional wines and craft beers. There is a small nightclub in Villeneuve, plus a couple of bigger ones in Briançon.

Across four weeks, you’ll develop your freeride technique, boost your backcountry confidence, and build essential mountain safety knowledge — culminating in a three-day ski touring adventure at the Refuge du Chardonnet.

Coaching runs four days a week, with four-hour sessions typically on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday, followed by a full-day adventure every Friday to explore new zones in nearby areas like La Grave, Montgenèvre, or Cesana. You’ll ride Serre Chevalier’s open bowls, hidden couloirs, and larch forests — terrain that mirrors the challenges of true backcountry skiing. Sessions focus on powder technique, line choice, flow, and adapting to trees, steeps, and variable snow conditions.

You’ll be grouped by ability and goals to ensure everyone skis at the right pace. With 6 skiers per coach, you’ll benefit from personalised feedback, targeted progression, and a supportive crew dynamic that pushes you further.

Our experienced coaches are the backbone of the Nonstop experience. With deep local knowledge, they’ll help you uncover the best of Serre Chevalier — a vast and often under-the-radar resort that’s tough to navigate without a seasoned guide. From secret powder stashes to technical terrain, they’ll show you lines you’d never find on your own, while giving you the tools to ride them with confidence. A rotating roster ensures varied perspectives and a chance to learn from multiple coaches throughout the camp.

With mountain safety skills woven throughout the camp, you’ll build avalanche awareness through a mix of fieldwork and real-world practice. Touring fundamentals are introduced on guided sidecountry quests — from skinning and managing transitions to efficient climbing and safe group travel. Everything builds toward the final multi-day tour, where you’ll put your new skills into practice in a remote alpine setting.
