A full-throttle winter in the heart of the Canadian Rockies — riding three world-class resorts, living in a buzzing mountain town, and levelling up with pro coaching every step of the way. Exclusively with Nonstop, you’ll ski the legendary Big 3: Sunshine Village, Lake Louise, and Mount Norquay — a combined 8,000 acres of terrain to explore and shred.

Whether you’re fuelling a gap year or kicking off an instructor career, this course is all about unlocking your potential. With coaching that rotates between resorts, you’ll chase the best snow and conditions while sharpening your skills across a huge variety of terrain. Expect to boost technique, grow confidence, and get fully prepared to nail your CSIA Level 1 and 2 — all while building the freeride instincts and all-mountain style that set great skiers apart.

Once you land your Level 1, you’ll also have the chance to put your skills into action through our exclusive Assisted Teach program — delivering learn-to-ski sessions to the local community with support from Nonstop coaches. It’s a chance to experience the teaching side of skiing and bring the CSIA framework to life.

Off the hill, Banff delivers the full package — national park views, wild landscapes, and a town that’s always up for a good time. And our MORE Program adds even more adventure — think road trips to places like Revelstoke, cat-skiing at an abandoned ski hill, night skiing at Norquay, and backcountry bonfires, with your host lining up weekly socials and events to keep the good times rolling.

Here’s a guideline on how your season in Banff could unfold – packed with progression, powder days, and instructor qualifications.

Welcome to Banff and the start of something epic. After the group transfer from Calgary, we’ll kick things off with a welcome dinner and town tour. On snow, the focus is on finding your feet and exploring the Big3 – Sunshine Village, Lake Louise and Norquay. By week 2, Level 1 training ramps up, with technical drills, video analysis, and an intro to CSIA/CASI techniques on groomers.

Your CSIA/CASI training really takes-off. We’ll dial in your technique on- and off-piste and introduce your first 1-2-1 session. Expect to feel sharper and more confident. You’ll run through simulated lessons, get stuck into teaching practice, and can complete your avalanche safety training – laying the groundwork for backcountry skills.

Time to show what you’ve learned. The three-day Level 1 exam at Sunshine Village tests both your riding and teaching. Most Nonstoppers pass with flying colours – and we celebrate in style with a legendary après party. Reset with a snowmobiling adventure through deep bowls before rolling into Level 2.

Level 2 training begins. You’ll level up your carving, dynamic movement, and teaching skills – all while tackling steeper terrain and deeper snow. Practical sessions, performance coaching, and full-mountain laps will build your confidence fast. For a weekend thrill, try dog sledding through the winter wilderness.

Put your Level 1 cert to use in our Assisted Teaching Program. Under guidance from SkiBig3 pros, you’ll teach real beginners – a massive CV boost. Then, it’s off to Kicking Horse for big-mountain lines, bowls and chutes on one of Canada’s most exciting freeride playgrounds.

With the Level 2 exam on the horizon, we’ll double down on your all-mountain riding and teaching skills. We’ll cover advanced CSIA/CASI theory and offer another 1-2-1 session to fine-tune your form. This block also includes the bucket-list cat-skiing day at Fortress Mountain, an optional park certification at Lake Louise, and a road trip to freeride haven, Revelstoke.

It’s the final push towards your goals. You’ll hone short turns, bumps, and teaching skills with focused Level 2 prep. Skiers complete two CSIA prerequisite modules ahead of the assessment. You’ll be feeling in the flow across a huge range of terrain types, and ready for the finale. Heli-skiing? Oh yes – you can tick that off too.

This is what it’s all been building towards. Skiers take the final CSIA Level 2 assessment, and snowboarders face four intense days. You’ll be evaluated on your teaching and riding – pass both components and you’re qualified to teach worldwide – from Japan to Switzerland. We’ll wrap it all up with a huge Nonstop graduation party to send off the season in style.

Banff is home to the Big 3 — three diverse ski areas offering a combined 8,000 acres of terrain and some of the best snow and views in Canada. Across Lake Louise, Sunshine Village, and Mount Norquay, you’ll find everything from deep powder and steep lines to tree runs, open faces, and terrain parks.

Banff’s Big3 resorts see up to 30 feet of legendary Canadian Rockies powder each season — light, dry, and endlessly skiable. Sunshine Village tops the snowfall charts thanks to its high elevation and ideal location, pulling in up to 9 metres per winter. Its 7,200-foot base-area altitude keeps the snow cold and dry. Lake Louise averages 5 metres, delivering consistent coverage across its vast terrain, while Norquay, the smallest of the three, still clocks in with 3 metres and quick access to fresh lines.

Set in the heart of a National Park, Banff is a vibrant mountain town with epic scenery and plenty of energy. It’s the central hub for accessing the Big3 resorts, connected by free shuttles. The town blends Canadian hospitality with a global buzz, offering loads to explore off the slopes — from local shops and lively bars to brunch spots, hot springs, and art galleries. The main street is always alive with things to do, and regular events like film festivals, rail jams, and wildlife sightings (hello elk!) keep the town feeling dynamic and fun.

The typical setup is four coaching days per week, with a varied schedule that blends instructor training and all-mountain development. Sessions rotate between Lake Louise, Sunshine Village, and Norquay, with each day focused on refining your technique, building your teaching skills, and prepping for your CSIA Level 1 + 2. You’ll be learning by doing — and having a blast.

Before each exam, you’ll get a dedicated 1-2-1 coaching session to zero in on your goals. Whether that’s breaking down a specific movement, building your teaching clarity, or just calming nerves — it’s your time to polish the final details, and make sure you’re ready to go.

You’ll ride in tight groups of no more than 8, matched by ability and vibe. That means loads of personal feedback, peer support, and a proper crew to shred with. We keep it fun, focused and social — just how it should be.

The backbone of the Nonstop experience is the coaching team — Level 3 and 4 pros who live for the mountains and know Banff inside out. With deep experience training instructors and unlocking progression, they’ll guide you through varied terrain, sharpen your skills, and build your teaching confidence. Each week you’ll rotate between coaches, giving you fresh perspectives, different teaching styles, and new zones to explore — and keeping your development dynamic.

You’ll work towards two respected certs: CSIA Level 1, which certifies you to teach beginners, and Level 2, internationally recognised allowing you to teach worldwide. Each exam covers both skiing and teaching — and our proven coaching system is built to help you nail them both.

The perfect bridge between instructor training and real-world teaching. After landing your CSIA Level 1, you’ll have the chance to step into teaching through our Assisted Teach initiative. This exclusive Nonstop program gives you the opportunity to deliver learn-to-ski sessions to newcomers in the Banff community.
