Full Course Story 11 Weeks in Fernie, Canada

The one that started it all. Since 2002, our flagship Fernie course has been the launchpad for skiers chasing big dreams, deep snow, and mountain-town living at its best. Rooted in the heart of the Canadian Rockies, this is 11 weeks of pro coaching, legendary terrain, and full-throttle winter immersion — with a tight crew to match.

Fernie is the real deal: five playful bowls, epic ridgelines, and some of the best tree skiing on the planet. This place delivers serious snowfall and serious soul, all wrapped up in a no-frills, all-stoke local vibe. You’ll ride it all — steeps, chutes, powder fields — and still make it back to town for lodge hangs and a local band at The Northern.

At the core is top-tier coaching from a team of Canadian pros. You’ll train toward your CSIA Level 1 and 2 certs, with a sharp focus on both freeride progression and teaching technique. Want to ditch the exam track and go all in on personal riding? An option after the Level 1, our exclusive All Mountain Pro path lets you do just that — exploring fresh terrain, boosting skills, and living the big-mountain dream.

Away from the coaching, the adventure keeps rolling with our jam-packed MORE Program: think cat-skiing in remote BC backcountry, avalanche training, road hockey, and powder-chasing road trips. Every week’s got a new high point — and every trip is part of the story.

Fernie’s where it all began. If you’re ready to ride hard, level up, and live the season of a lifetime — this is the one.

"

To come to a resort like Fernie for the season was such an amazing experience. I grew up ski racing and the coaching on the Nonstop program was was some of the best I’ve had! I've since got my Level 4 in both the Canadian and Australian systems, with seasons teaching in Fernie and Whistler, as well as back in Australia. "

Brad Leicester

"

The Nonstop instructor course in Fernie, BC was awesome. I not only got way bettter at riding, but made some really close friends. Hanging out with the crew and pushing each other to improve made the whole experience unforgettable. The course struck the perfect balance between coaching and just having a blast with new people. If you want to up your snowboarding game and meet some great folks along the way, this is the place to be. "

Brendon Bennett

"

This has been one of the best experiences of my life. It has made me want to return to Canada and spend more time on snow. The course has increased my love for skiing further and I've made friends for life. I couldn't have asked for a better place and environment to spend the season. "
